Russisk opgør med NGO-vældet

Nu er det vist efterhånden et stykke tid siden, at vi har været omkring Rusland. Her sker der ellers spændende ting.

For nyligt offentliggjorde Dumaen en liste over en række udenlandske NGO’ere, hvis mål er “to influence the internal political situation in the country, undermine the patriotic unity of our people, undermine the integration processes within the CIS space and force our country into geopolitical isolation.”

Det skriver Russia Today.

De foreløbigt 12 uønskede NGO’ere er:

Open Society Institute (Soros Foundation).
National Endowment for Democracy
International Republican Institute
National Democratic Institute
MacArthur Foundation
Freedom House
Charles Stewart Mott Foundation
Education for Democracy Foundation
East European Democratic Center
Ukrainian World Congress
Ukrainian World Coordinating Council
Crimean Field Mission on Human Rights.

Listen over uønskede NGO’ere er skabt på baggrund af en ny lov, vedtaget sidste måned:

It requires the Prosecutor General’s Office and the Foreign Ministry to make an official list of undesirable foreign organizations and outlaw their activities. Once the group is recognized as undesirable, all its assets in Russia must be frozen, offices closed and distribution of any of its information materials must be banned.

If the ban is violated, both the personnel of the outlawed group and Russian citizens who cooperate with them face punishments of heavy fines, or even prison terms in case of repeated or aggravated offence.
